Trans Salzkammergut Grand Tour III

The third stage of the Trans Salzkammergut Grand Tour, which crosses Salzkammergut from south to north, also offers scenic beauty and spectacular cycling. This stage starts out at the church in Gosau. From here you ride in a north-eastern direction down to Hallstätter See. The route follows the lake’s western shores to the towns of Steeg and St. Agatha. The road than climbs via Ramsau to Blaa–Alm, descends through Rettenbachtal and climbs again to Hütteneckalm. From Hütteneckalm the road descends in a southern direction around Predigstuhl to Ewige Wand. The last uphill takes you to Reinfalzalm. The way back to Bad Ischl is along the slopes of Rettenbachtal.
