The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite navigation system that was developed to determine a precise location almost anywhere on Earth. Today a constellation of 24 satellites orbits 12,000 miles above the earth transmitting signals to determine the location, speed and direction of the GPS receiver. What you need is an interface cable to your computer to download routes (=tracks) and waypoints to your GPS device.
